Cross Of St. George - Update
I posted England Flags - Police Take Action a couple of days ago.
Since then we've had confirmation that the Cross of St. George will be flying above 10 Downing Street on England's match days. (See Tony Blair Orders England Flag Flown On Match Days)
I also enjoyed Boris Johnson's article in The Telegraph the other day - C'mon Gordon, join the rest of us and fly the flag for England
A recent google search reveals that England being afraid to fly it's own flag is being reported with utter disbelief and shock by many of our country's foreign 'friends'.
There's an interesting thread developing on the police forum on the whole flying of the Cross of St. George subject - This also mentions an unofficial DVLA poster which is a spoof doing the rounds and has made me smile!
I shall leave this subject with a patriotic English poem by William Shakesphere.
This royal throne of kings, this scepter'd isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall,
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm,
this England.

Union Jack
